Our lovingly renovated former schoolhouse, Finnestad Syrenbacken, is idyllically located on the Värmlandsnäs peninsula in Värmland – surrounded by meadows, forests, and wide-open nature. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the special calm of this place. Here, historic charm and cozy comfort come together to create a truly unique holiday home.
With approximately 120 m² of living space, the house offers plenty of room for up to 8 guests – ideal for families, friends, or a relaxing getaway in familiar company. Dogs are also explicitly welcome, because holidays are best enjoyed together.
Typically Swedish
With its characteristic red exterior walls, the holiday home reflects classic Swedish architecture. Located right by the forest and fields, it offers the perfect setting for a relaxed stay – whether alone, as a couple, or with the whole family.
The Kitchen Stove
The kitchen, equipped with a traditional Swedish “kitchen stove” (wood-fired stove), invites communal cooking. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything needed for a relaxed self-catering stay, including:

Comfort & Amenities
The Swedish bathroom features a walk-in shower. The washing machine and dryer are located in a separate room – the tvättstuga (laundry room). All rooms have dressers and/or closets, providing ample storage space.
Location & Nature
The large private garden invites you to relax, play, and enjoy barbecues. Parking is available right at the house.
