Residents of the Farm

For Wonder, Feeling, and Participation

At Vargspår Ranch, animals naturally belong to everyday life.

They are not just part of the farm – they shape life here: during morning feeding, walking across the pastures, or simply when you pause to watch.

Some are calm, others curious, some loud and full of energy.

It’s precisely this mix that brings the farm to life – and makes it special for our guests.

🐶 Our Dogs – Three Souls, Three Paths, One Pack

  • Frieda came to us from Greece. Seven years old, a German Shepherd, with a past as a chained and street dog. She carries scars you can’t see – but you can feel them. She meets strangers with caution and respect. Trust is not a gift for her, but something valuable that needs time to grow. Yet, if she lets you into her heart, it’s forever. Frieda is quiet strength and a reminder of how much healing is possible.
  • Miley, our six-year-old Dutch Shepherd, is pure energy. A true workaholic. She wants to think, work, watch, and control – preferably all at once. Standing still is not her thing. She needs tasks the way others need air to breathe. And when she works, you can see that sparkle – that “This is what I’m made for.”
  • And then there’s Urmel. One year old, a Swedish Bernedoodle. A giant baby in a furry suit. He loves everything. Truly everything. People, animals, wind, leaves – and above all, his “Balli.” With his clumsy, open-hearted nature, he makes even the most serious smile. Urmel is lightness. And sometimes exactly what you need.

🐴 Our Horses – Strength, Calm, and Trust

  • Arielle came to us from Germany. Fifteen years old, a Coldblood mix, 160 cm of heart on four legs. She was injured during transport and is currently not rideable. But she is so much more than “rideable” or “not rideable.”

She loves attention. Walks. Groundwork. Clicker training. Horsemanship. She loves being seen. And anyone who works with her quickly realizes: here stands a teacher. Patient. Clear. Honest.

With her, you learn that connection is more important than performance.

  • Mérida, our twelve-year-old Swedish Coldblood trotter, is calmness itself. 150 cm of serenity. Relaxed in the terrain, balanced in everyday life – and with one great passion: food.

She is one of those souls who simply are. Quiet. Supportive. Reliable. When everything else is loud, she is gentle. And that is exactly why she is so valuable.

🐱 Our Little Whirlwind

Loki – affectionately called “Lokipoki” – is only six months old. And he does… cat things. Chasing mice. Watching invisible things. Sleeping on the sofa as if he’s never done anything else.

And, of course, teasing the shepherd dogs.

He brings that playful chaos that only young cats can master. A little mischief, and a lot of charm.

Our Animal Housemates

  • Käthe – friendly, charming, and endlessly talkative.

  • Henriette – calm, methodical, and unflappable.

🐔 Our Silkie Chickens – fluffy characters

  • Donatella (Döni)

A small, bustling feathered chaos full of life.

Soft, friendly, and sociable.

They will soon become part of our animal-assisted offerings.

A Mindful Everyday Life

Our animals are cared for according to their needs, with plenty of space for growth and development.

Here, it’s not about pushing the animals; it’s about connection – touch that is natural, respectful, and at their own pace.
